This bill would be the harshest legal restriction on trans life anywhere in the United States, and is all but certain to pass.

The new sweeping rules expand the existing ban on foreign aid to abortion providers to include providers of trans healthcare and anything else that it deems to be “gender ideology”.

The bill was voted to be advanced to a floor vote on a 9-3 decision along party lines.

Democrats no longer appear willing to vote for these compromises in order to fund the federal government.

It is not impossible for the FBI to do what has been claimed. It is still irresponsible to spread panic among marginalized people through rumors without evidence.

There is no likely ruling that does not leave trans people in the United worse off than they were before.
