The anger around people using new words to describe themselves has nothing to do with the word itself, and everything to do with who gets to be understood.

The tools of academia can be used for joyful things- rather than just for reinforcing or changing the system. They can reflect the joy of, for example, “Barking and Ripping Things up and Just Freaking it.”
