Even if you can’t get the correct gender marker, you can still get a passport with your legal name. If you don’t have a passport, it is still worth doing so.

It doesn’t matter if it’s the US or the Middle East, it’s all about control– of a country’s politics, of a country’s resources, of a country’s strategic importance.

The bill may or may not become law, but this still marks another attack to the marginalized and the vulnerable by the right.

Brazil is far from a perfect country, it is one of the countries that kills the most trans people in the world, and it has a deep history with racism and discrimination, but steps are being taken so we move on as a society.
